IMPROVER FOR MORTALITY RATE OF FISHES

PURPOSE:To obtain an improver for mortality, containing algae of the genus Spirullina as an active ingredient and capable of remarkably reducing mortality especially in growing juvenile fishes. CONSTITUTION:An improver obtained including an algal body belonging to the Spirullina, the family Oscillatoriaceae, the order Hormogonales of the class Cynaophyceae, preferably Spirullina.platensis, Spirullina.maxima, Spirullina.geitleri or Spirullina.siamiae readily available, since artificial culture thereof can be carried out, as an active ingredient. The form of the above- mentioned drug is preferably powdery and the daily dose thereof is within the range of 0.1-5.0g, preferably 0.5-3.0g based on 1kg fish body weight and the drug is added in an amount of 0.1-10wt.%, preferably 0.1-2wt.% to a feed for use.
