SUM-UP CONTROL METHOD FOR TRANSACTION PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To exactly control transaction summing-up and cash summing-up and to shorten a time for recovering a fault by outputting the two information of a transaction sum-up totaling status and cash summing-up status. CONSTITUTION:Transaction summing-up statuses 11-12 to control and display either the update waiting state or updated state of each counter for transaction summing-up counters 8-9, a cash summing-up status 13 to control the updating state of a cash summing-up counter 10 which sums up cash to be incoming and outgoing in each transaction, a transaction totaling status 14 to obtain logical sum between the respective transaction summing-up statuses 11 and 12 are provided. The state of the transaction totaling status 14 and the state of the cash summing-up status 13 are outputted to a display 3 or a journal 4. Thus, based on the coupling of the states in the respective summing-up statuses, it can be discriminated that the fault during the transmission and reception with a host station or the fault during cash incoming and outgoing or the other fault is generated. Then, the time for recovery operation can be shortened.
