SELECTIVE SULFONATION OF 2-AMINO-NAPHTHALENE SUBSTITUTED WITH FIBER REACTIVE BETA- SULFATOETHYLSULFONYL GROUP AT 5- OR 7-POSITION, NOVEL 5-SULF-SUBSTITUTED FIBER REACTIVE 2- AMINO-NAPHTHALENE AND FIBER REACTIVE AZO DYE

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a sulfonated compound, into which a sulfonic group is regioselectively introduced, useful for obtaining a fiber-reactive, water-soluble azo dye, by sulfonating, e.g. β-sulfatoethylsulfonyl-group-substituted 2-amino-naphthalene using a specific method. ;CONSTITUTION: A compound represented by formula I {X¹ is X[-CH₂-CH₂-Z (Z is an organic or inorganic substituent desorbed by an alkaline agent)], β-hydroxyethyl group; X¹-SO₂- is located at 5- or 7-place}, preferably, e.g. β-sulfatoethylsulfonyl group substituted 2-amino-naphthalene, is acylated into a compound of formula II [R' is a (substitutional) alkyl, (substitutional) aryl], which is then reacted with a sulfonating agent (e.g. 65% oleum) and, if necessary, diluted into a 85-100% sulfuric acid solution with water. It is then heated to 80-120°C for hydrolysis and deacylation to obtain a compound represented by formula III [R is H or -CO-R'; -SO₃H group is located at 7 place (5 place) if the group X-SO₂- is at 5 place (7 place)], into which a sulfonic group is regioselectively introduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
