HIGH-SPEED ARITHMETIC PROCESSING SYSTEM FOR PROGRAMMABLE SEQUENCE CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To realize a programmable sequence controller, which has an excellent function and is fast processible, by processing a simple instruction by means of a column cyclic arithmetic part at high speed, and processing complicated instruction by means of a microprocessor. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 decodes and executes a machine word corresponding to a sequence source program in a ROM 4 at 1:1, and executes the control of the whole system such as service to an I/O 8 and an alarm processing, and the complicated instruction which cannot be processed by a column cyclic arithmetic part 6, for example the operation in the rotating direction of a rotating body, etc. The simple instruction to execute the operation in units of a bit is decoded and executed by the column cyclic arithmetic part 6. Thus since the simple instruction is processed at high speed by the column cyclic arithmetic part, and the complicated instruction is processed by the microprocessor, the excellently functional and high-speed sequence controller is realized.
