TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE COLLECTOR FOR COMPREHENSION OF NATURAL LANGUAGE

PURPOSE:To increase the range of application of a natural language process by applying this language process to a manual or a guidebook showing the knowledge of a subject technical field and collecting the technical languages necessary for comprehension of a natural language in the relevant field. CONSTITUTION:A natural language sentence written into a technical field manual is inputted via a technical field manual input means 10. Then the input sentence is analyzed by a sentence analyzing means 11 and the inter-concept relation is extracted out of the result of analysis. Then the inter-concept relation is stored in a technical knowledge memory means 15 as the technical field knowledge. Thus the troublesome collection of technical knowledges is attained just by inputting the manuals for each technical field via the means 10. Thus it is possible to extremely shorten a period during which a natural language comprehension system is adapted to a new field. Then the technical knowledges can be easily collected for comprehension of the natural language.
