PURPOSE:To shorten a time necessary for the edition and transmission of texts by carrying out the edition of the texts and transmission of the texts in parallel. CONSTITUTION:When the texts edited by a terminal side editor 2 are transmitted to a host, the texts are alternately stored into two transmission buffers 23 and 24 while being edited, and by using a terminal side asynchronous communication input/output processing 4 having a function, which returns a control without waiting for transmission completing notification, the texts stored into the two transmission buffers 23 and 24 are transmitted to the host. Thus, the edited texts can be transmitted in parallel while editing the text, the time necessary for the edition and transmission of the texts is shortened, and the processing performance of the distributed type editor can be improved.
