摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the high specificity and high sensitivity even to an early syphilis by adsorbing away the specific impurities which have no antigenicity with a cation exchanger from a protein antigen derived from the culture of TP (Treponema Pallidum) bacteria. CONSTITUTION:The reagent for syphilis inspection which detects the corresponding antibody in a serum to be inspected is produced by a carrier sensitized with the antigen derived from the TP bacteria. The protein having the positive charge in an antigen liquid is adsorbed in the cation exchanger from the protein antigen derived from the culture of the TP bacteria under a desired pH condition to remove the protein having no antigenicity. The purity of the antigen is relatively enhanced in this way to the purity at which the antigen-antibody reaction of the antigen-sensitized carrier and the IgM (early antibody) in the syphilis positive serum is induced. The stage for removing the protein adsorbed on the cation exchanger is added for the above-mentioned purpose and the refined TP antigen is used as a sensitizing antigen. Further, the protein antigen formed by adsorbing away the impurities from the protein antigen derived from the culture of the TP bacteria with the cation exchanger is used as the antigen to be sensitized with the carrier.
