PURPOSE:To shorten a designing time by using a Path-Detection technique for unit simulation. CONSTITUTION:When any components of A, B or C does not slip out of a subassembly consisting of the three components, and a component D is attached beforehand, by one of the components A, B or C cannot be attached. A full line indicates a valid arc, a broken line indicates the invalid arc, and a dotted line indicates the arc which can be valid or invalid. Since a process advances from a node {A, B, C and D} to a node {A, B and C}, and cannot advance downward, it is decided that the assembly machine expressed in an assembling process graph cannot be assembled. The invalidness of an arc ({A, B and C}, {A, B, C and D}) is prove by the invalidness of an arc ({A, and B}, {A, B and C}), and the invalidness of an arc ({A, B and D}, {A, B and C}). Thus, by using the Path-Detection technique the propriety of a manufacturing circumstances can be judged, and the designing time can be shortened.
