STANDARD TAPE FOR TAPE RUNNING ADJUSTMENT AND TAPE RUNNING ADJUSTMENT METHOD

PURPOSE:To facilitate the tape running adjustment considerably by using plural rotary heads with the same azimuth angle so as to record a running adjustment signal with a different carrier frequency onto a recording track. CONSTITUTION:A video signal as a running adjustment signal is recorded on recording tracks 5, 6 of a standard tape 1 with rotary heads 7, 8 whose azimuth angle theta only is tilted in the same direction. The video signals recorded on the recording tracks 5, 6 have different carrier frequencies. Moreover, a control head pattern in the standard tape 1 and a video head recording track pattern are set in the specified relation. The tape running adjustment is facilitated considerably by using the standard tape 1 as above.
