GRADE AND CLASS SCREENING DEVICE FOR CITRUS FRUITS

PURPOSE:To exactly execute grade and class screening by juxtaposing roller shafts along the transporting direction of citrus fruits and forming spiral fins on the outer peripheral faces of the respective rollers. CONSTITUTION:The oranges 16 supplied into the spacing between the respective rollers 18 and 18 are rotated as the rollers 18 rotate. The oranges are simultaneously pressed in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction (moving direction) by the fins 30 of the rollers 18. The oranges 16 are, therefore, transported toward the axial direction of the rollers 18 while making twist pin actions. The fins 30 are formed to a peak shape. At least one orange 16 is pushed by the other orange 16 and moves easily to the next pitch by riding over the slope of the fin 30 when =2 pieces of the range 16 are charged between the pitches of the fins 30. The oranges 16 are, therefore, surely dispersed by each piece between the pitches of the fins 30 of the rollers.
