VESSEL FOR YAM CULTURE AND CULTIVATION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a yam having a high commodity value, a round cross-section and a roughly straight shape in the longitudinal direction by putting soil and a yam into a specified bag, burying the bag into the bed soil at an angle so that the cross-section of the bag may be a roughly candle flame shape and culturing the yam. CONSTITUTION:Earth (E) and a yam (Y) are put into a hollow cylindrical bag 12 made of a synthetic resin such as a thin sheet-shaped vinyl film bendable into arbitrary shapes and having plural holes 14 on the peripheral surface and the bag 12 is then buried into the bed soil at an angle from the horizon so that the cross-section thereof may be a roughly candle flame shape. The above- mentioned yam (Y) is cultured and grown in the above-mentioned buried state so that the cross-section and the shape in the longitudinal direction are may be respectively roughly round and roughly straight, thus obtaining the objective yam having a remarkably improved commodity value.
