CIRCULAR COMB SEGMENT TO BE FIXED TO A CIRCULAR COMB CYLINDER IN A COMBER

PURPOSE: To fully comb a fiber mass even in increasing speed and/or lap weight by providing a free space in a specific state in front of a plane passing through the axial line and the front edge of a cylindrical segment in the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION: A free space is provided in front of a plane E passing through the axial line and the front edge 3 of a cylindrical segment in the circumferential direction. This free space extends in the radial direction from the front edge 3 over most of the base body 1 thickness d, and extends in the width direction of the base body from the center of the front edge 3 to both sides over most of the base body width. A fiber mass pressed against the circular comb segment is combed by the tip end of the needles or needle cloth 5 in the forefront line which is further front from the plane E, and drawn into the circular comb.
