CUP-SHAPED GRINDSTONE AND METHOD FOR GRINDING PLANE

PURPOSE:To carry out plane grinding of high accuracy by means of passing once of works by forming a non-grinding recessed portion band with a concentrical circular form on the side of the inner periphery of a rough grinding particle face band formed on the side of the outermost periphery, and forming a sharp grinding particle face band with a concentrical form on the side of the inner periphery of the recessed portion band. CONSTITUTION:A work W1 passing under a cup-shaped grindstone 1 is roughly ground by a rough grinding particle face band 1b. The whole of one ground face of a work is next stocked in a non-grinding recessed band 1c provided on the side of the inner periphery of the band 1b, and a work W2 is drawn out of the grinding particle face band 1b for rough grinding. Thereafter, the work W2 is forced to advance to under a sharp grinding particle face band 1d so that it is ground sharply.
