PURPOSE:To read a train timetable diagram automatically by a machine by providing a coordinate board device which develops coordinates of the train timetable diagram to be read and menu data coordinates on the board surface and an input device which functions to display timetable data at an indicated point in the display window of a display device. CONSTITUTION:This reader is equipped with a means which inputs information regarding train numbers, departure and arrival platform numbers, and departure and arrival, which are difficult to read automatically with a menu table placed on the board surface of the coordinate device (a) and a means which inputs information regarding seconds with bottoms of the input device (b). Further, this reader is equipped with a means which reads information regarding the name of a station and time at a position indicated by the indication point (c) of the input device (b) corresponding to the position in the timetable diagram placed on the board surface of the coordinate board device (a) and a means which inputs a train number, the name of the station, and time data to be inputted while confirming them at hand by providing the display window for displaying said data to the input device (b). Consequently, information on the arrival time and departure time of each train at each station can be read out of the train timetable diagram.
