PURPOSE:To shorten a drain time at the time of the drainage of the motor cooling loop by connecting a pressure line which supplies compressed air to a bent line arranged in a motor cooling heat exchange. CONSTITUTION:A motor casing 4 and a motor cooling heat exchanger barrel 7 are connected by cooling piping 12 to form the motor cooling loop 25. Further, a motor part 23 for the drainage and water injection of the loop 25 is provided with a motor drain line 13 and a motor water injection line 14, the motor cooling heat exchanger 24 is provided with a drain line 15 and a bent line 16, and the pressure line 17 which supplies the compressed air is connected to the line 16. Then the compressed air which is supplied from an in-office compressed air system 26 is reduced 18 to proper pressure and admitted to the line 17 by a temporarily installed line 18 and the compressed air is sent to the loop 25 through the line 16 to discharge reservoired water forcibly. The nuclear reactor incorporated type recirculating pump 20 is not altered in design greatly and the drain time of the loop 25 can be shortened greatly.
