摘要

PURPOSE: To provide high speed drying at low cost by transmitting microwaves through a coaxial transmission way to heat water entering an insulator to be changed into steam, and discharging this steam out of the coaxial transmission way. CONSTITUTION: Microwaves are transmitted through a window 2, an application device 1, and a window 3 to be supplied to an adjustable short-circuitting member 47 connected to a flange connector 32 of a waveguide portion 30 through a coaxial-waveguide transition. The microwaves reaching the short-circuitting member 47 are reflected to be transmitted through the window 3, the application device 1, the window 2, and a circulator 45 to a matching load 46. The microwaves transmitted through a coaxial way formed of a cylinder 4 and a conductor 6 vibrate water molecules in paper insulation 7. Water is thus heated to be converted into steam, a vacuum pump 43 sucks produced steam through an exit duct 10 at an upper part, and steam is forcedly discharged from a hermetically sealed container to accelerate a drying process.
