PURPOSE:To obtain the title Ti-Ni series alloy having the superelastic characteristics of high critical stress by subjecting a Ti-Ni alloy to solution heat treatment at a specific temp., thereafter constraining the alloy into a desired shape, subjecting it to heating to a specific temp., to cooling and successively to aging treatment at a specific temp. CONSTITUTION:A Ti-Ni series alloy showing thermoelastic martensite transformation is subjected to solution heat treatment at 700 to 1000 deg.C. After that, the alloy is subjected to cold or warm constraint into a desired shape, is heated to 500 to 700 deg.C as it is, and is cooled. The alloy is successively subjected to aging treatment at 250 to 450 deg.C. In this way, the Ti-Ni series alloy having the superelastic characteristics of high critical stress can be obtd.
