SAND PILE METHOD FOR PREVENTING LIQUEFACTION OF SANDY GROUND

PURPOSE:To make sand compaction piles applicable without hindrance even to places close to existing buildings and to make them functional by constructing the small-sized sand piles with a small-sized casing, having a diameter of specified dimension, with a small vibrator attached at its top. CONSTITUTION:Using a small-sized casing having a specified diameter of 200mm or so with a small vibrator mounted on the top, small-sized sand compaction piles having a diameter of 350mm or so are constructed at pitches of about 1,100mm. Sandy ground around and between the sand compaction piles are then consolidated and tightened utilizing vibration effect of the vibrator mainly at the time of penetrating and pulling-out the casings. Thereby work can be executed without hindrance even at places close to existing buildings where the conventional method cannot be applied or is hard to apply, and possibility of producing pollution can be minimized.
