PROCESS FOR SEPARATING EXTRACTABLE ORGANIC SUBSTANCES FROM COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING EXTRACTABLE ORGANIC SUBSTANCES MIXED WITH SOLIDS AND WATER

PURPOSE: To efficiently elute and separate org. material by bringing a compsn. which is a mixture composed of solids and water into contact with a first org. solvent of a specific compsn. to elute and separate the org. material, then bringing the same into contact with a second org. solvent to elute and separate the org. material. CONSTITUTION: The compsn. mixture composed of the solids and the water is brought into contact with the first org. solvent and, thereafter, at least a part of the org. material in the compsn. is dissolved in the first org. solvent to prepare a first soln., following which a part of the first soln. is separated from the compsn. described above to prepare an intermediate compsn. This intermediate compsn. is then brought into contact with a volatile org. solvent to dissolve a portion of the first org. solvent into the volatile org. solvent to prepare a second soln. Further, this second soln. is separated from the intermediate compsn. and the org. material is obtained from the compsn.
