MULTISTAGE ROLLING MILL WHERE WORK ROLL AND INTERMEDIATE ROLL CONTACTING WITH WORK ROLL ARE ASSEMBLED

摘要

PURPOSE:To restrain quarter buckle and to roll high quality steel strips having a good shape by forming a taper relief part at an end part of an intermediate roll contacting with a work roll and also forming a recessed contraction part in a quarter part of the other end side. CONSTITUTION:A contraction part 3b, taper relief part 3d are formed in asymmetric points to a laterally central point L of upper and lower intermediate rolls 3 and the rolls 3 are arranged in opposite directions to each other. Therefore, if a steel strip 1 is rolled, generation of quarter buckle is prevented at both sides of the point L by the contraction part 3b formed in a quarter part R of the rolls 3. Further, generation of ear elongation at both sides of the point L is prevented by the taper relief part 3a, so that high flatness and good shape steel strip can be rolled.
