PURPOSE:To obtain a colored Chinese bun with a bean-jam filling having color and flavor of the vegetables imparted thereto by blending and kneading wheat flour, yeast, etc., kneading the resultant dough with colored vegetables, providing the dough with the color of the vegetables and wrapping a bean jam, forming the bun and steaming the prepared dough with the bean-jam filling therein. CONSTITUTION:Wheat flour, yeast, baking powder, sugar, common salt, lard, water, etc., are blended and kneaded to provide a dough, which is then kneaded with colored vegetables (e.g. pumpkin) therein. A bean jam is then wrapped in the above-mentioned dough and formed and the resultant dough with filling is subsequently steamed to afford a colored Chinese bun with the bean-jam filling.
