CONSTITUTION:The urban garbage incineration ash W stored in an ash hopper 1 is supplied to a powder molding press 6 through a hopper 4 and pressed under surface pressure of 0.5-2.0t/cm2 according to the shape and molding shape of the incineration ash W to form a molded body S. At this time, calcium oxide is contained in the incineration ash W and becomes a binder to allow Van der Waals force on the ash. Thereafter, the molded body S is sent to an incinerator 8 to be baked at 950-1350 deg.C herein. By this method, garbage incineration ash is efficiently reduced in its volume and secondary public nuisance is also prevented.
