PURPOSE:To perform the welding in a short time using the initial heating at a low temperature by interposing a weld material having the Ni-Ti composition corresponding to the alloy composition between Ni-Ti alloys to be joined to heat these under the reduced pressure. CONSTITUTION:In the case of welding the Ni-Ti alloys together, the weld material consisting of a compressed body of a compound of Ni powder with Ti powder corresponding to the alloy composition containing 0.06-0.4 wt.% O content and 0.05-0.5 wt.% H content is interposed between the Ni-Ti alloys. Then, these are heated under the reduced pressure and the compressed body is molten. By this method, the initial heating at the low temperature is used and the Ni-Ti alloys are welded together in a short time and the welding with the high quality is obtained.
