PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanical shim adjusting work of a ZX component and a ZY component, and to reduce the burden of an operator by a method wherein a magnetic projection, with which the amount of projection from the tilted surface of an electrode, is provided on the tilted surface. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 1 is formed in a round plate shape, it is tabular shaped as far as to a specified diameter d1 from the center part, it is tilted in such a manner that the opposing surface is gradually heaved up on the part upwards the diameter d1 and the thickness of the electrode 1 is increased. A plurality of bolt-like iron components 2 are screwed into the tilted surface, the component 2 function as magnetic projections in such a manner that the amount of projection of which from the tilted surface can be adjusted, and a notch is formed on the head of the projections. The nonuniformity of the ZX component and the ZY component of a magnetic field can be regulated by adjusting the height of the projection of the parts 2, and the ZX component can be zeroed finally.
