PURPOSE:To prevent the quality of articles to be transported from being lowered and enable an optimum cold reserving condition to be maintained by providing a first temperature-discriminating means for discriminating the lowering of the temperature of a cold heat accumulating agent to or below a predetermined temperature, and a display means for displaying the completion of a regenerating operation according to a signal from the temperature-discriminating means. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a main body 21 of a cold storage filled with articles 20 to be transported is cooled by the latent heat of melting of a cold heat accumulating agent 26 and by a ventilating fan 32. A controlling means 44 for the fan 32 detects the temperature inside the cold storage 33, and performs ON/OFF control of the fan 32. A first temperature-discriminating means 38 outputs a signal when the temperature of the agent 26 detected by a temperature-detecting part 37 is lowered below a preset temperature. Based on an output from a regeneration end-discriminating means 46 for discriminating the completion of a regenerating operation, a display means 47 displays the completion of the regenerating operation, thereby showing that articles 20 to be transported can be transported at any time thereafter. Therefore, the person in charge of the transportation can prevent the quality of the articles 20 from being deteriorated due to insufficient regeneration arising from a mistake made by a person.
