PURPOSE:To produce simultaneously plural pieces of bar steels having good quality with high efficiency by slitting a multi-striped blank material to plural pieces of intermediate multi-striped blank materials and slitting further the materials to form plural pieces of intermediate bar steel materials then subjecting the bar steel materials to finish rolling by caliber rolls. CONSTITUTION:A billet heated to a prescribed temp. is rolled by the caliber rolls of a rolling mill (not shown) to obtain a muli-striped blank material 15 consisting of the four-striped blank materials 15a-d which are made continuous in parallel with each other by thin nodes 15e-g. Such materal 15 is introduced into a slitter 14 where said material 15 is slip longitudinally from the thin node 15f thereof by a pair of the 1st upper and lower slip rollers 21 by which two pieces of intermediate multi-striped blank materials 15A, B are obtd. The materials 15A, B are then conducted respectively by the 2nd guide member 29 to the 2nd slit rollers 20, 20 and are slit respectively from the thin nodes 15e, g to form 4 pieces of intermediate bar steel materials 16-16''' and thereafter the materials are finish rolled by the caliber rolls of a finishing mill (not shown in a figure) by which four pieces of round steel bars 17-17''' are simultaneously obtd. without generating any flaw, deformation, etc.
