NEW MATERIAL:A plasmid manifestation vector containing a region coding hepatitis B virus core protein, a promoter region situated at the upstream part compared to the above region and enhancing the transfer efficiency of this region, a third region for growth in myeloma cells and a transfer termination sequence situated at the downstream part compared to the third region. USE:For making immunogen to produce hepatitis B virus core protein anibody for e.g., hepatitis B diagnosis. PREPARATION:For example, plasmid containing hepatitis B virus(HBV) gene is cut with a restriction enzyme to take out a region between the 1803th and 2808th bases of HBV genome, and this region is then linked between (1) the promoter region of a vector having (a) said promoter region enhancing the transfer efficiency of the above-mentioned region, (b) a second region for growth in myeloma cells and (c) a transfer termination sequence and (2) said transfer termination sequence region, thus obtaining the objective HBV core protein manifestation vector.
