PURPOSE:To provide an insecticidal fumigant composed of a container sealed at its top with a double wall sheet consisting of a metallic foil having a number of perforations and a releasing paper, a sealed plastic film bag containing a mixture of an insecticidal component and an organic foaming agent and contained in the container, a heat-generating means placed in contact with the plastic film bag, and terminals to connect said heat-generating means with an external cell. CONSTITUTION:The plastic container B is sealed with a double wall sheet C composed of a metallic foil 3 such as Al having a number of holes 4 for fumigation and a releasing paper 5 covering the whole surface of the foil 3. The container B contains a sealed plastic film bag A containing a mixture 2 of a pyrethroidal insecticidal component and an organic foaming component (e.g. azodicarbonamide) and a nichrome wire N placed in contact with said bag A and a capable of generating heat when connected with a cell. The insecticidal fumigating body obtained by filling an insecticidal component in a plastic film bag and contacting the bag with a nichrome wire can be stored for a long period, and fumigation is performed easily by using a conventional 1.5V cell. The amount of fume can be controlled by adjusting the area of the peeled releasing paper.
