PURPOSE:To shorten a steady point elimination processing operation time and to make faster three-dimensional measurement by eliminating an unnecessary steady point before a steady point elimination processing operation. CONSTITUTION:When the moving direction of a camera is set at V, even if a camera moves on a line segment L in parallel with the direction V, the positions of mapping points S1, S2,... are steady. Since the mapping points are on an equator with a projecting point V0 onto the spherical surface of the moving direction V as a pole, the mapping points on the equator with the V0 as the pole are eliminated as the preprocessing of the steady point elimination processing regardless of a density. The preprocessing can be executed in a short time since only coordinate information is used in it. Thus, the number of the mapping points to execute the time-consuming steady point elimination processing is reduced, the processing time is shortened as a whole, and the processing can be made faster.
