REM SLEEP SENSING AND SLEEP LEARNING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a safe, comfortable, and easy-to-fit sleep learning device which can be used personally by sensing and judging the stage of rem sleeping of a person to be inspected through quick eye-ball motion. CONSTITUTION:A sensor to sense the motion of an eye-ball is mounted on the plate-shaped part of the rear surface of an eye mask 1 to be fitted on the head H of a person to be inspected. As this sensor an infrared sensor is suitable. The sensor is connected with a power supply, a controller 3, and a magnetic tape-player 3. The signal about the motion of eye-ball given by the sensor is fed into a controller 2 and compared with the preset reference level, and thus the stage of rem sleeping of the person to be inspected is sensed and judged. According to the results from this sensing and judging, an audio output circuit, etc., is actuated.
