PURPOSE:To obtain the titled glass from glass powder consisting of MgO, CaO, SiO2, P2O5, Al2O3, F2, Li2O, Na2O, K2O, B2O3, TiO2, SrO, Nb2O5, Ta2O5, and ZrO2. CONSTITUTION:Less than 200-mesh glass powder, contg., by wt, 8-26% MgO, 18-43% CaO, 25-40% SiO2, 10-25% P2O5, 10-25% Al2O3, 0.5-3% F2, 0-10% Li2O, 0-10% N2O, 0-10% K2O, 0-10% B2O3, 0-10% TiO2, 0-10% SrO, 0-10% Nb2O5, 0-10% Ta2O5, 0-10% ZrO2, and wherein the total content of MgO, CaO, SiO2, P2O5, Al2O3, and F2 is regulated to =90%, is molded, heat- treated in the sintering temp. region, and then heat-treated in the temp. region to form an apatite crystal and an anorthite crystal. The titled high-strength crystallized glass is this obtained.
