PURPOSE:To quickly ferment org. waste in the presence of aerobic microorganisms by feeding hot wind to an air sleeve covering the lower part of a closed fermentation tank to heat said part and agitating the org. waste by ploughing and agitating vanes while properly introducing the hot wind into the fermentation tank as well. CONSTITUTION:The hot air from a blower 10 for generating the hot wind enters the inside of the outside air sleeve 5 of the sealed fermentation tank from a discharge pipe 11 to heat the fermentation tank and returns through a suction pipe 12 to a blower for generating the hot wind, then such is repeated. Hot air is introduced into the fermentation tank from a bypass air pipe 14 by controlling a bypass valve 16. The org. waste such as fallen leaves and garbage is ploughed and agitated by the ploughing and agitating vanes 23 while the heat and oxygen are applied thereto in the above-mentioned manner, by which the quick fermentation is executed and the compost having good quality is produced.
