PURPOSE:To prevent nicks from being produced, by providing a scraping plate which may leap up to a siding position, on a moving member which is movable along a workpiece receiving bed for storing a workpiece, so that workpieces which are successively introduced are scraped up. CONSTITUTION:When a workpiece W is introduced in a workpiece receiving bed 7, a motor is normally rotated 8 so that a scraping plate 31 is moved rightward together with a moving member by means of a chain 13, and therefore, the workpiece W is scraped up rightward. When the moving member is moved to the frontmost position, the motor 8 is reversed, and therefore, the moving member 14 is retracted to its original position. With the repetition of the above- mentioned steps, several workpieces W are successively scraped up. When they assemble by a predetermined number, the rearmost workpiece W abuts against the scraping plate 31 so that the plate 31 leaps up to its siding position, overcoming a spring 34. Thus, when the workpieces W are lined up on the workpiece receiving bed 7, the drive of the workpiece aligning device is stopped, and then the workpieces W are suitably delivered to the next process station.
