PURPOSE:To eliminate a troublesomeness of presetting the data of the current day to a cassete memory, by making data of the current day written in the cassette memory when the cassette memory is connected to the main body of a computer. CONSTITUTION:A time circuit 5 stores the data of current year, month, and day in a register DATE and those of current hour and minute in the register CLK. When a cassette memory 8 is connected to terminals 71-75 under the power source of an electronic register is ON state, continuous signals are applied to the CPU5. Then, whether the flag area of a CPU5 is 1 or 0 is discriminated, and when it is 0, the data of year, month, day stored in the register DATE of a circuit 6 are written in the storing area of the memory 8 designated by an IX register of the CPU5. Then, 1 which indicates the date data are set, is stored in the area F.
