PURPOSE:To easily attach or detach a preliminary seedling-holding frame by forming the preliminary seedling-holding frame as another frame and attaching the frame in a state where the frame straddles the upper portion of a seedling-loading bed. CONSTITUTION:When a preliminary seedling-holding frame 50 is mounted, the lower ends of the left and right leg portions 53 and 53 thereof are supported on the step portions 55 of a movable frame 33 to give a state where the frame 50 is superimposed on a seedling-loading bed 35. Although the front portion of the movable frame 33 is tilted in a forward rising direction, the back ends of the leg portions 53 are stopped with a stopper 56 and the holding frames 50 are supported at a prescribed position. The preliminary seedling-holding frame 50 can be readily detached only by transferring the frame 50 upward or forward. The preliminary seedlings may be loaded on the seedling-loading portion 51 as the seedlings are placed in the box. Since the backward and lateral transfers of the seedling box are inhibited due to the back portion of the seedling-loading portion and to the upper portions of the left and right leg portions, the separation of the seedling box from the preliminary seedling-holding frame 50 owing to the vibration, rolling, etc., of the transplanter on the working operation thereof is prevented.
