CONSTITUTION:A study correction quantity referring means D refers a study correction quantity stored in a study control RAMC in accordance with an engine operating condition. A study condition decision means F compares a value of the study correction quantity, referred by the referring means D, with the preset value to decide a level of the value. When a decision means F decides that the value of the study correction quantity is in the preset value or more, an abnormality alarm means G alarms abnormality in a control device. In this way, the abnormality of a decrease or the like in a response characteristic due to the blocking of an idle control valve can be diagnosed.
