PURPOSE: To provide a laser which has amplitude stability and is frequency- converted in a resonator, by using a plurality of non-linear optical crystals in the laser resonator. CONSTITUTION: Resonator radiation of a laser material 1 is circulated along a path in an optical resonator determined by mirrors 3 and 4. Non-linear optical crystals 5 and 6 are positioned within the optical resonator in such a manner that the resonator radiation can interact with each crystal along a phase matching axis so as to be converted to radiation of harmonic waves thereof. Harmonic radiation is generated at the time of mutual use of the resonator radiation by the non-linear optical crystals 5 and 6, and passes through the mirror 4 as output radiation 7. The two non-linear optical crystals 5 and 6 may have the same chemical composition or different chemical compositions. For example, both of the non-linear optical crystals 5 and 6 may be made of potassium titanate phosphate. Alternatively, one crystal may be made of potassium titanate phosphate and the other crystal may be made of another appropriate non-linear optical material.
