摘要

PURPOSE:To realize enhancement of display quality of a plasma display panel or printing quality or the like of a plasma line head by sequentially scanning cathodes in a looping order for an array of the cathodes. CONSTITUTION:Light-emitting pulses t1 are sequentially applied to cathodes 2 in a scanning manner, and a light-emitting pulse signal t1 based on light-emitting/non- emitting data is selectively applied to an anode 4 synchronously with a scanning timing, whereon discharge light emission occurs at a printing cell having the anode 4 and the cathode 2 which are simultaneously supplied with the light-emitting pulse. In this case, a minute light-emitting pulse t2 is applied to the anode 4 synchronously with the scanning timings for the cathodes 2 being driven in a looped manner, so that the printing cells are sequentially brought into discharge light emission corresponding to the minute light-emitting pulse t2 in a looped manner, thereby producing a priming effect on the adjacent printing cell. The priming effect of each of the printing cells on the adjacent cell is shifted successively. Therefore, it is possible to realize enhancement of display quality of a plasma display panel or printing quality or the like of a plasma line head.
