Hollow column installation method in water course bed - generates vacuum below floor before injecting hardening material

The method instals a hollow column with sharp bottom edge in a soft non-supporting layer of a watercourse bed. The column is to be filled with concrete. The column (1) has a floor (5) clear of its bottom edge (2), and to which standpipes (6) are connected, after the column has penetrated part-way into the bottom. Pumps (9) connected by pipes (8) to the standpipes then generate a vacuum under the floor and inside the column, after which a hardening material is injected into this space.
