Placing electronic transponder capsule in animal - using piston-like tool which extracts capsule from magazine and injects by punching action

The capsule (1) has a plastics tubular case with a sealing cap (5). Enclosed in the capsule are an integrated circuit (2) and a transmitting/receiving antenna (3). The capsules are supplied in sealed cylindrical tubes which are mounted on a 'cartridge belt' strip. Within the tubes, the capsules are bathed in a 'BETADINE' preparation, also known as 'Povidon-iodine'. The cartridge belt is inserted in a pistol device which enables each capsule to be punched out of its tube and injected into the animal in one action. The Betadine preparation prevents infection or immune system rejection problems.
