The invention concerns a machine to package products in vacuum bags of a variety of sizes. It consists mainly of a base framework which supports at least three line stations, each of which is supplied by its own separate section of a conveyor. The first station automatically feeds products between the two overlapping films of plastic material and the relevant welding and top and bottom edge trimming of each bag, producing a kind of handle open on both sides. The second station creates the vacuum inside each bag and welds the remaining open sides of the bag. The third station heat-shrinks the package until the films adhere. Package buffer devices are inserted between the stations.
