The invention concerns a Spanish tile or mission tile with so-called fastening heels, which is intended to rest on supporting elements such as laths (battens), of the type comprising a convex face having bearing heels 2, 3 equipped with a face for bearing on the supporting elements and with a shoulder 2a, 3a for abutment against the supporting elements. This tile is characterised in that its convex face comprises a plane surface portion 4 formed between the bearing heels 2, 3 and extending substantially in the same plane as the bearing face of the said heels.
