A synergistically acting selective-herbicidal agent for cereal crops, in particular pre- and post-emergence in winter wheat and winter barley, is composed of a mixture of 100-300 parts of N-(3-chloro-4-methylphenyl)-N'-dimethylurea (chlortoluron), 20-60 parts of 2-methylthio-4-ethylamino-6-tert.butylamino-1,3,5-triazine (terbutryne) and one part of N-(2-chloroethoxyphenylsulphonyl)- N'-(4-methoxy-6-methyl)-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)urea (triasulfuron), and the inert carriers and dispersants which are conventional in herbicides. The novel agent shows a synergistically superior action against problem weeds such as, for example, Lolium, compared with the action of the known agent chlortoluron/terbutryne or trisulfuron on its own. The preparation and the use of the novel agent are described.
