The present invention relates to a mounting device for a tool (10) especially suited for intervening at one end (30) of a drill string (3) arranged in a drilled well especially in an inclined or horizontal position. The end (30) of the drill string is extended by a support (15) of a first electrical connector (9), at least part of which extends inside the drill string and interacts with a second complementary electrical connector (8). The mounting device possesses, furthermore, a member of variable extension (11) mounted coaxially relative to the said drill string (3). The said extension member is connected to the connector support (15) by a first end and at a second end supports the special intervention tool, an extendable electrical cable (25) being located inside the extension member and connecting the said first connector (9) electrically to the said special intervention tool (10).
