Aromatic, nuclear fluorinated compounds are particularly advantageously prepared by nucleophilic exchange in the course of a reaction with potassium fluoride in the presence of phase transfer catalysts and, if appropriate, solvents, by carrying out the reaction in the additional presence of metal salts.
