NEW SYNTHETIC BIOACTIVE COMPOUNDS AND METHOD OF PRODUCING BIOACTIVE EFFECT

We describe a new class of bioactive polypeptides broad spectrum called '' Magainin ''. These peptides have a molecular weight equal to or less than about 2500, are highly water soluble, amphiphilic and non-hemolytic. It also describes a new process for obtaining antimicrobial effects by putting a likely subject to invasion or contamination by microbes in contact with XPE, PGLA and Magainin.
