Monoclonal antibody to morphine, preparation of monoclonal antibody, assaying kit and assaying method of morphine

There are disclosed a monoclonal antibody to morphine produced by the hybridoma strain obtained by cell fusion of mouse lymphocytes and mouse myeloma cells, character­ized in that it does not substantially react with codeine but has a very high specific reactivity with morphine, a method for preparing a monoclonal antibody to morphine, which comprises culturing the hybridoma strain as mentioned above, an assaying kit of morphine which comprises essentially:(a) a carrier having an antibody having a very high specific immunoreactivities with morphine and normorphine carried thereon; and(b) a carrier having normorphine carried thereon, and an assaying method of normorphine, which comprises reacting morphine in a sample to be assayed and normorphine carried on a carrier competitively with the antibody carried on the carrier by use of the assaying kit of morphine as mentioned above.
