Optical lens or lens system containing a structure which provides a non-uniform function of refractive power in a static manner depending on its location at a lens surface point by means of progressively varying focal power or other means. The optical lens according to the invention further contains an optionally actuatable element, which can effect a dynamic change in the refractive power of the lens, which is a uniform or non-uniform function of the positional point on the lens. The actual refractive power at each point of the optical lens or lens system according to the invention is given by the superimposition of the refractive power controlled by means of optionally actuatable elements onto the refractive power given statically by the progressively varying focal power. The correct calculation of each function of refractive power makes the optical lens lighter; it is suitable and optimal both for special and for normal use. IMAGE
