The circuit controls the time interval between positional movements of a set of subordinate pictures in a picture-in-picture type television receiver. The circuit comprises; a microprocessor (10); a memory (200) for storing the PIP video digital data; a read/write controller (20) for generating a control signal to control the start of writing or reading a subordinate picture data onto or from the memorg; a switchign unit (40) for sequentially switching the chrominance signals; and A/D converter (50); a first data converting and latching unit (90); a writing clock pulse and writing address signal generator (60); a second data converting and latching unit (110) and a memory control timeing and address selecting unit (100).
