There is disclosed a circuit for controlling the time interval between rotational movements of a plurality of subordinate pictures in a picture- in-picture-type television. The inventive circuit includes a microcomputer, a memory for storing the PIP video digital data, a control decoder and read/write controller for generating a control signal to control the start of writing or reading subordinate picture data onto or from the memory, a switching stage for switching sequentially the chrominance signals, an analog/digital converter for receiving the output of the switching stage, a first data converting and latching device, a writing clock pulse and writing address signal generator, a second data converting and latching device, first to third digital/analog converters, a reading clock pulse and reading address signal generator, and a memory control timing and address selector.
